Why would you consider purchasing a brand-new TV when you can get the same for a much leaner rate by renting? Apart from the price, there are other benefits to renting appliances, whether it is a TV, fridge or a washing machine. However, the more significant aspect is whether or not the appliance you rent is thoroughly reviewed. In the case of a rental TV, for instance, you must go through the finer technical details before possessing it. Accordingly, the following are three points to consider when renting a TV.

1. Panel Size

First and foremost, consider the panel size, and also the type. At the same time, do note that size alone is not the end of the story. In other words, it is a fairly relative attribute. Whether you want a 55-inch or a 65-inch TV set, it must be determined by the specific requisites.

Commercial or otherwise, your core needs must determine the choice. Also, do consider the presence of a LED backlight in most LCD sets. The backlight plays a pivotal role in affecting the quality of the image on the screen. The spacing between the LED lights is the most critical determinant. Close-knit lights generally produce a superior image.

2. Contrast Ratio
Another pivotal element is the contrast ratio. The contrast ratio may be defined as the difference in the extremes of dark and light on the panel. Typically, the quality of the image is directly proportional to the ratio. Higher the ratio better is the quality of the image.

So far as a rental TV is concerned, you can only compare two sets to evaluate the contrast ratio, since there is no standard procedure to measure it. In that respect, you must observe the difference between the darkest blacks and the brightest lights keenly.

3. Check Speakers
Last but not least, do check the speakers. More often than not, with the TVs thinning, speakers come as built-in applications. Generally, LCD and OLEDs do not have robust speakers, compared to CRT appliances. Therefore, before renting a TV, make sure its speakers are loud enough for your purpose.

Renting appliances is widely acknowledged as a means to save money, apart from other things. However, with liabilities removed, overlooking the more delicate details could come at a high price.
