April 13, 2022: Angelia Johnson, the author of "Moving the Unmovable" breaks the fourth wall and fills various gaps about a teacher's actual role in the student's lives. With her teaching experience, and years of handling several types of students, situations, and parents – she pens down a heartfelt account of how undermined the services of a teacher can be in the real world. The book sets out to clearly define the role of a teacher in shaping the lives of countless students throughout their careers.

A full-time teacher spends approximately 53 hours a week with their students during regular lectures and class-related activities. When teachers spend so much time with their students, it is safe to assume that they have an impactful role in their lives. Angelia draws focus to the fact that teachers are doing more than just delivering lessons, and handing out tests – they’re investing in the growth of strangers’ children.

The book talks about how teaching is a widely unappreciated job that is both physically and emotionally draining. Teachers are often found second-guessing their abilities, their techniques, and more because of a student gone rogue – or bickering parents.

When asked about her motivation to write the book, Johnson stated the following, “Teachers go widely unappreciated. We get complaints, we get screamed at, we get to have students keep us in a stare-down when they don't feel like listening to us—but we never get credit. We turn children into who they grow up to be. We often become parental figures they don't find at home; we're more than just someone replaying a science book lesson. And it is time the world saw how and why we move the unmovable!"

Angelia's book is divided into eight different aspects of a teacher's life, their actions, and how they continue to inspire, move, and help their student develop through a range of tools. The book is far more effective because it isn't the ramblings of inspired students but from the eye of another teacher that probably went unnoticed throughout her career.
