Certified Ethical Hacker and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator programs are Now the Preferred Credentials by the State Bank of Pakistan

As a part of a strategic initiative to strengthen the cybersecurity capability and capacity for the State Bank of Pakistan, the Central Bank of Pakistan has approved and mandated EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) certification programs as the preferred certifications for the following positions: Deputy Director, Security Operations Centre (OG-3); Deputy Director, IS Policies and Standards (OG-3); Deputy Director, IT Risk Management & Asset Security, IT Risk (OG-3); Assistant Director, Security Operations Centre (OG-2); and Assistant Director, IT Risk Management & Asset Security (OG-2).

CEH, which is American National Standard Institute (ANSI) accredited, DoD 8570 baseline certification, and a GCHQ Certified Training, was chosen for its intense focus on the mind-set, tools, and techniques used by hackers. These skills will help banks test their security policies and tools for vulnerabilities and then patch them. CHFI, which is also ANSI accredited and a DoD baseline certification, trains cyber forensic professionals in incident response and forensics, electronic evidence collections, and digital forensic acquisition, used to identify, preserve, recover, analyze, and present digital information.

“CEH and CHFI are valuable inclusions to the State Bank of Pakistan’s workforce requirements. The CEH prepares professionals working for the State Bank of Pakistan to quickly and effectively identify vulnerabilities in their systems, people and policies, defending interests on a national scale, while the CHFI brings a forensically sound approach to systems auditing, investigation, and incident response. These are critical skills across the SBP workforce, and we are proud to support them with our programs.” said Jay Bavisi, President of EC-Council Group.
