Michael Wayne Twedt has lived in Minnesota for years and truly enjoys his life there.

A longtime resident of Minnesota, Michael Wayne Twedt enjoys his quiet life in the Midwest. He currently resides in Minneapolis, also known as the “City of Lakes.” Michael Wayne Twedt graduated from high school in North Dakota before attending school in Minnesota. He admits, “I just fell in love with it. I didn’t want to leave, so I stayed. I was lucky enough to get a job quickly after college and the rest is history.” Since deciding to call Minnesota his home, Michael Wayne Twedt has met a lot of close friends and built a successful business and accounting career. He says, “It’s the best of both worlds. There’s a lot of opportunity here since it’s a fairly big city but it’s also a nice place to live and have a low key lifestyle.”

When asked about his adopted home state, Michael Wayne Twedt says, “Minnesota is a great state to live in. There is a lot to do and with all the lakes, it’s just gorgeous. No matter what you’re looking for, whether it’s culture, music, hiking, or shopping, there’s literally something for everyone here.” While the winters can be brutally cold and the summers sizzling hot, Michael Wayne Twedt says he doesn’t mind either way. “Some people complain about the weather and at times, it can be extreme,” he admits. “But I like the changing of the seasons. I try to stay active and really enjoy being outdoors year-round. I like skiing and ice fishing in the winter. I also love hiking and biking in the summer. It’s nice to have variety.” Michael Wayne Twedt also enjoys the indoor activities that Minneapolis offers such as museums, restaurants and the Mall of America – the country’s largest shopping mall.

The thing that Michael Wayne Twedt loves the most about Minnesota is the people. He says, “The people here are great. That’s probably the best part of living here. They’re kind, down=to-earth and hardworking. When I go into the grocery store, they know my name. People on the street will greet you even if they don’t know you. They have those classic Midwestern values. They’re just good people.”
