Haryana, India – June 10, 2017 – Based out of Haryana, India, Mettl is an online assessment platform that bridges the gap between perception and reality by allowing companies to analyze, gauge and improve people skills. Mettl develops multiple competency assessments to measure technical, aptitude and personality skills necessary in the work environment and simulation-based assessments for sharper measurement of skills. The platform also provides remote testing solutions for automatic invigilation to cut down on exam cheating. And with the actionable analytics, managers and HRs can get candidate’s deep report produced in real time.

Illustrating about how online proctoring can help companies, Mettl Communications Manager said, “Proctoring prevents cheating in the online examination without the need of you setting up a physical examination hall. It can be utilized during high stake tests including entrance and semester exams. Online proctoring can also be used to conduct recruitment drives online, such as hiring experienced candidates and campus recruitments. In order to invigilate these candidates, you’ll need to check out Mettl’s dashboard. It generates automatic warnings, like ‘multiple faces’ and ‘not one seat’. You can see the live video feed of all the candidates and even chat with them just like in an examination hall.”

The remote proctoring service process is divided into three parts. First, is the candidate’s overview, second, the invigilators experience to invigilate the group of remote candidates and to create such proctored tests, and third, the test administrators experience to select the candidates by reports and analytics. For candidates to take the test, they must have received an email from the company to appear for the test. Mettl automatically diagnoses the applicant’s system for the necessary settings required to enable proctoring; they then go through instructions to start the test. The webcam turns on throughout the examination process to live record the video.

“The live videos on the administrator’s account are where the real action happens. For you to see that log into your Mettl account, you’ll land at the test dashboard where you will spot a green ribbon on the tests in progress. Click on it to see the live image feeds of test takers. This image feeds refreshes every few seconds. Note the red mark on the candidate’s name; it shows that they must have violated the code of conduct. If you want to see a specific candidate’s live video, click on his or her name. The red marks will indicate when they showed unexpected behavior like ‘not on seat’ or ‘multiple faces’,” concluded the Communications Manager.

Mettl also offers aptitude test online to measure the candidate's ability to communicate effectively, solve a problem and also has assessments to measure quantitative aptitude. Examples of aptitude tests include verbal aptitude test, cognitive abilities assessment, grammar, spelling and punctuation test, business statistics test, data interpretation skills test, attitude for apprenticeship, aptitude test for air traffic controllers and more.
