SANTA BARBARA, CA (March 28, 2017) — Eight years ago, artist/author, D. A. Metrov, diagnosed with a rare and highly aggressive prostate cancer, was given less than a month to live—even with treatment. Now, happy, thriving, and fit, his unique recovery principles are being widely adapted as the family-oriented “NU Sustainability Project for Achieving Maximum Health of Mind, Body, & Planet.”

According to Metrov, eldest of nine from sleepy Ontario, CA, who went on to garner acclaim as celebrity portrait artist, Hollywood screenwriter, and novelist, “Massive doses of chemo and radiation temporarily saved my life. Still, I faced threat of recurrence and potentially lethal side-effects. I became a health expert to save my life. Since I’m still here eight years later, I’m going to go out on a limb and deduce I must have gotten something right… something that can hopefully help others.”

The sustainability project began with Metrov’s SAGA OF NU (the first Instagram eco-novel), whose protagonist, the Creature NU, traverses America to find out what’s gone wrong. Metrov’s Creature encounters lifestyle diseases, carcinogens in the environment, food toxicity, information deluge, heightened stress, fear, deceit, and corruption. His solution? “Fix yourselves, one person at a time, and the world will follow,” says the Creature. “Your reality will always be a reflection of your mind.” The timely online narrative quickly garnered an army of sustainability-minded youth and their organic/vegan moms.

In his new publication, BOOK OF NU - 10 Simple Habits to Literally Save Yourself & Your Planet, the author offers a succinct breakdown of his principles for integrated health. “The environments of our inner and outer eco-systems are inextricably bound, therefore must be nurtured as a whole,” says Metrov.

Dr. Patricia Bragg, legendary health pioneer, and maker of Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, is a huge fan. “BOOK OF NU is wonderful! Everyone can learn something. I want the whole world to read it!” Recently lauded by Katy Perry as “her Health Queen,” Dr. Bragg is considered the Grand Dame of the Modern-Day Health & Nutrition Movement. Metrov adds, “What we’re seeing in the world today, particularly in government, are the last, desperate attempts to save a dying system. But evolution won’t be stopped. We’re transitioning from fear to a love-based society… shifting back to a matriarchal approach to life, restoring harmony with Nature and each other.”
