According to a survey, approximately 36% of Canadians believed that they did not have a trained family member or friend who could help them in case of a medical emergency. This number is particularly astonishing since medical crises typically occur when people are surrounded by other people they know.

It is estimated that on average 35,000 sudden cardiac arrests occur in Canada each year. These are usually preventable if someone knows how to either perform CPR properly or is familiar with an AED device. First aid and emergency training is crucial, especially in workplaces where accidents are not uncommon.
The representative also said, "Businesses that have employees who have received first aid training have a low ratio of injuries and other medical emergencies. This training helps employees be more cautious at work, which leads to fewer accidents and injuries. Reducing the risks of injury and medical crises is beneficial for both the employee and the employer."

The company actively educates locals so that mortality rates due to preventable medical emergencies can be reduced.
