Merit Venture Capital’s Director of Asset Management announces retirement

CENTRAL DISTRICT - Merit Venture Capital today announced that Edward Chen, Director of Asset Management is to retire from the firm at the end of the year.

 
Edward Chen has been with Merit Venture Capital since it was founded in 2014 and has held several key roles as well as serving as a Non-Executive Member of Merit Venture Capital’s Board of Directors.

Merit Venture Capital’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Keith Hemming commented Edward Chen’s retirement saying “2020 has already been a bad year in terms of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Edward’s sudden decision to retire at the end of the year has certainly shocked us all. There are not enough words to describe the kind of man that Edward is. He has had such a positive influence to us and will be sorely missed around the office, not just on a professional level, but on a personal level too.”

“It is a shame that we cannot give Edward the send-off he deserves due to the ongoing pandemic but we will have a small gathering before the year end so that everyone can say their goodbye’s to him and we wish him the very best in his retirement,” added Keith Hemming, Chief Executive Officer of Merit Venture Capital.
