As the community is growing day by day, AOS Foundation announced exciting news under the sound momentum of growth: AOS will launch the Global Hacker Marathon Innovation Competition (hackerthon) on August 20, which will last until November 7.

As the host of the competition, AOS Foundation launches the competition and authorizes the AOS global community alliance to be the organizer with AOS English community, AOS Chinese community, U.S. super partner and Australia super partner being the co-organizers.

AOS Hacker Marathon Competition taking “leading the technology, aiming for application and innovation” as the theme fully illustrates the strategic thinking of AOS as a good public chain that is technology-based and application-oriented.

There are many highlights of the competition, including open competition topics and big prizes.

Highlight 1: Open competition and wide topics. There are more than ten topics for the hackerthon competition, including defined and non-defined topics. Developers can select competition topics by their own strengths and preferences. There are no restrictions on the participants. Individual developers, teams or companies, no matter who you are, you can all participate in the competition.

Highlight 2: Popular topics and fair selection. The competition covers a wide range of topics, including both traditional plug-in topics and popular DeFi ones, such as decentralized lending, decentralized exchange, NFT, oracle machine, etc. The competition consists of preliminary and final. Preliminary winners are selected by the professional technical organizing committee, while the final selection falls into two parts: community voting and organizing committee evaluation. The weight of community voting is 30% and that of organizing committee evaluation is 70%. Through community plus professional evaluation, the fairness of selection is realized.

Highlight 3: Big bonus and dedicated allocation. The prize pool must be the most inviting part of the competition. AOS Foundation sets up a prize pool of up to 850,000 AOS to award excellent entries. The 850,000 AOS will be allocated to each competition topic. No matter what type of work they are, those meeting the requirements will have the opportunity to share AOS prizes.

Besides the 850,000 AOS, the Foundation has also set up a developer incubation fund and invested $5 million for support. Excellent developers of the competition will have access to the support of the incubation fund.

The purpose of hosting the hackerthon competition is to discover more good developers around the globe and help these excellent developers, teams or companies realize their blockchain dreams, thus contributing to the development of blockchain technology or privacy technology.
