‘William and the Werewolf’, the new heartwarming 2D animation classic-styled film and musical, which is about love and valor, aims to captivate audiences worldwide if it can hit its Kickstarter funding goal of $30,000.
SAN FRANCISCO/CALIFORNIA/USA, APRIL 24 2014 – An innovative team of artists, composers, filmmakers and actors, headed by the experienced producer Butch Berry, have today announced that they have launched a Kickstarter campaign, which aims to bring to life the wonderful 2D animated musical, William and the Werewolf.
The film captures aspects of past animated classics such as Walt Disney’s Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, and encapsulates a series of magical moments in the film William and the Werewolf. The movie builds on the greats of old, bringing them back to life in an age where many seem to have forgotten the treasures held within the 2D animated industry of yesteryear.
The story arc begins in a Kingdom in Italy, where Princess Melior and her page fall in love. This wouldn’t be a traditional 2D movie if Princess Melior’s father didn’t intervene by wanting her to marry a Prince. As the two flee, a benevolent werewolf assists the two lead characters. By the end of the adventure, many mysteries unravel to show the audience the true nature and history of the characters.
“I want to create a true classic look to this movie, which really hasn’t been successfully done using 2D with an original screenplay since Disney's 1959 movie, Sleeping Beauty. We’re shooting for a Princess/Prince type movie that’s built on a good quality memorable story and remains true to classic style songs like Once Upon a Dream,” said Butch Berry, the team lead. “With a combination of 2D animation as well as a selection of very memorable songs in the classic style many have been brought up on, I believe that we will unearth a classic. I do believe that many people miss these types of animated films and the team and I would like to bring it back, but we are going to need the funding from our Kickstarter campaign if we are to bring William and the Werewolf to life.”
The innovative team, which includes highly acclaimed animation company Evogue Studios, is eager to get going on the production of William and the Werewolf, which has been adapted by Butch Berry from a nineteen hundreds romance story. Many accomplished actors have been invited to play fun characters and renowned German composer Alex Schiborr, will score the film.
