The Los Angeles based independent rock band ‘Bone of Contention’ has released their self-titled album called ‘Bone of Contention’. The highlights of this band are two superbly pumping tracks called ‘Bad Karma’ and ‘Finger Fickle of Fate.’

Chicago, IL – Bone of Contention is an independent rock band based in Los Angeles. It consists of band members Chet Cline who is the keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter for the band, drummer/percussionist Dave Haddad and bassist Jamie Hunting. Their sound is raw yet refined with experimental and dark overtones hovering constantly throughout their music. Their genre is difficult to associate with any other genre that tops the music charts. However, their music is suffused with hints of other musical genres such as progressive, funk, melodic pop, space rock followed by a dash of acid jazz that makes it a perfect treat for the ears. Their main focus is to create music in which dissonance, tension, off-rhythms and melodic beauty all collide but somehow fall together nicely in catchy songs that make it all very listenable.

Chet Cline suggests that the Beatles, Who, Doors, Zeppelin & Genesis were his biggest inspiration while he was growing up and now is inspired by everything from Muse, Tool and Jane's Addiction to Boris, The Freeks and High on Fire. Even though some of the heaviest guitar-god bands have influenced their sound, BOC is strictly a keyboard, bass & drum outfit with no guitars or any other instrumentation.

Bone of Contention hopes their music elicits an emotional response from the listener that helps break the monotony of other current music. They believe that good musicianship, good material, patience and constant hard work pays off in the end. “Bone of Contention is definitely a talented group,” says James Moore Chairman and CEO of MooreSuccess Inc. the company that runs iTunes Exposure. “Listening to their music you definitely can tell they know what it takes to make quality music.”

Chet Cline writes all the songs for the band and explores several topics. They illustrate some of their views on the world through this album but leave it open to interpretation. Their music can be bought on iTunes from Bone of Contention believe that their gigs are an experience like no other.
