Christine author and full-time carer for her daughter, Christine will be colouring her shoulder-length blonde hair for the Leukaemia Foundation. She is also an advocate for children with disabilities and carers.

“I’ve seen and heard from people about how blood cancer can impact the lives of families and friends and I want to ensure that we have a future that is free from blood cancer,” said the Councillor.

“The World’s Greatest Shave is a fun way to help people out in need of care and further research and I want to help in whatever little way I can, to make a difference’ she said.

“I have got permission to wear my hair coloured to the Council and so I will be attending a Council meeting with my coloured hair on April 5,” said Christine.

The goal is to raise $5000 in total. The amount raised could not be possible without the support of Christine’s friends, family and the community.

“The highest bidder gets to decide my colour, so hopefully it’s not rainbow!”
