UmeeUs, LLC will open donations to its company. IndieGogo.com is a platform, much like KickStarter, that allows individuals or companies to raise money for their cause. They’re a third party organization that brings people with issues to people with solutions. Indiegogo allows anybody to create a campaign that caters to his or her cause. The platform allows the campaign exposure by a “share” function on the site. The utility of a description, video, and pictures will allow viewers to understand the cause more in depth and its impact on others. Due to the fact that IndieGogo is a website solely for donations, “perks” were created as a way to give something back to an individual or company for believing and donating in their cause.

UmeeUs is using Indiegogo as a way for individuals and companies to get exposure, as well as first stock options when the company goes public using the websites perks system. The more you donate, the more your exposure. The more you donate, the higher in the list for stock one gets.

UmeeUs is an improved and novel version of Facebook as a social media website. It’s a platforms that is Simple, Safe, and In. The main function of the platform is to not hide, confuse, or control the user, rather to place all the power in the users hands. They created a platform that integrates two profiles, one that is private (called Umee) from one that is public (Us). They removed all the clutter, they have no visible or controlling advertisement, a limited friend list to improve the user relationship with individuals they really want to keep in contact with, implementation of the next generation of profiles that use audio and video stimuli, use of statistics in the form of analytics to allow the user to understand how a person delegates his or her time and find a deeper relationship with his or her friends. Whether it may be pictures, videos, statements, causes, or what have you, the user makes it known what is most important. This is done by a simple system in which you “Up” or “Down” a post. The sites limitations are endless, but what really makes the site so unique is the power of CHOICE, which is stressed and priority number one. One can choose to implement features while choose to ignore others.
