MIAMI, FL (MARCH 29, 2018) – Samantha Downie, Director of Human Resources and Learning & Development at nationally recognized public accounting firm MBAF, was honored at the 2018 Excellence in Human Resources awards by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine.

South Florida Business & Wealth’s honorees represent the tri-county area’s top HR professionals across 12 industries. Downie and her peers have received the recognition for their success in building and nurturing talent within their organizations, thereby playing a key role in elevating their companies to the top of their industries.

With over 20 years of experience in human resources and leadership development, Downie has excelled leading organizational projects focused on professional development, process improvement, team leadership and corporate communication. In addition to these roles, at MBAF she is responsible for maintaining and developing all HR functions while overseeing recruitment, professional development and performance management. MBAF University, an in-house learning and development program, is also spearheaded by Downie.

Downie earned a B.A. in Communications from Alaska Pacific University and a master’s degree in international policy studies as well as Mandarin Chinese from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
