Resident Anesthesiologist Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado works both as a doctor and medical researcher. He is a member of two societies related to his medical specialty.

 
Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado may still be a young doctor but he has such an incredible history as a student that his success as a doctor is next to guaranteed. Ever since he was accepted into school, Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado attended school with scholarships. The first two scholarships he got were repeated from 2001 until his graduation in 2004.

"Everyone tells you medical school is expensive and they are absolutely right. That is why it is always important as a student to apply for scholarships. I was fortunate enough to get scholarships for each of my academic years," says Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado.

Before he graduated as a medical doctor, Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado was the recipient of the American Medical Association Foundation's WWAMI Scholarship and the Bank of America Medical Endowed Scholarship. "2008 was the last year I needed scholarships for school. Now, I can focus entirely on my career as a doctor and advancing the field of medicine through research," says Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado.

After he became a resident Anesthesiologist, Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado knew it would benefit him and his career to join a society based upon his medical practice. "In 2010, I joined the American Society of Regional Anesthesia," says Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado. It is a membership he maintained until 2013.

In 2012, Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado joined another society dedicated to anesthesia. Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado joined the Colorado Society of Anesthesiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists. "I joined the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists because part of my work is anesthetizing patients before heart surgery," says Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado.

It was in regards to cardiovascular procedure that Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado focused his last research article in 2012. "My article is about the enhanced safety of using real-time multimodal axillary vein imaging of axillary vein catheterization in neurosurgical intensive care patients," says Matthew Uhlenkott of Aurora, Colorado.
