New Jersey Vein Specialists publishes a new article explaining how to prevent varicose veins from returning next summer.

November 18, 2016. New Jersey, Florida. New Jersey Vein Center (NJVC) announces the publication of an article on why varicose veins recur and how to prevent them from happening. According to the New Jersey based center, New Jersey vein specialists have new treatment techniques at their disposal that make recurrent varicose veins much less likely.

Dr. Lowell Kabnick, sole practitioner of NJVC and a top vascular doctor in New Jersey, explains, “Fortunately, modern varicose vein treatments have come a long ways since the days when our mothers or our aunts had treatments – in those days, varicose veins were much more likely to recur, because the treatments available (such as vein stripping) weren’t as effective, and without the benefit of ultrasound technology, many veins that needed treatment were missed. So the veins just came back with time.”

However, he notes that today vein stripping has been replaced by sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy and endovenous ablation techniques, all of which are more effective at permanently removing varicose veins. What’s more, the advent of ultrasound imaging lets New Jersey vascular doctors “see” the veins deep beneath the skin, including the ones that need treatment. Now patients can be much more certain that all the veins that need treatment receive it.

Dr. Kabnick advises anyone who is concerned about recurrent varicose veins to make an appointment at New Jersey Vein Center for a painless venous health evaluation. Varicose Vein Treatment Options
Many men and women find themselves suffering from spider veins (small, reddish veins found on the skin’s surface) and varicose veins (larger, bulging veins that often appear blue in color). Although both genders are at risk for varicose and spider veins, women are more likely to experience them than men.

There are a number of different vein treatment options available to safely and effectively remove varicose veins. These minimally invasive treatments, which include radio frequency ablation, sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation, and phlebectomy, are the result of recent technological advancements and deliver optimal results without causing unnecessary downtime or unpleasant side effects.
