A mother in desperate need of finances decided to sell the only thing she had of value to bury her daughter. Designer clothes an ex-boyfriend had bought her in abundance that were brand new, never worn, tags still attached. This lady delicately wrapped the mostly silk Roberto Cavalli, Versace, and many other name brand clothes. She parted with Jimmy Choo purses, shoes, and so much more. Retail value well over $26,000.
Rie Yano and Jie (Zheng) Charles' company Material World that can be found at Materialworld.co sent the mother packaging to return the items in. The mother photographed the items with the price tags still attached, filled out the inventory slip, making a copy for herself and even photographing a copy. She then packed the items with care and waited for a response. She waited and waited. The mother had to borrow from friends and family as well as go in debt with co-signers to cover the costs.
Finally, alarm bells started wringing when another company she sent some things to sent her an offer. The mother rejected the offer because the advertising wasn't accurate on what would be offered. The mother then contacted Rie Yano and Jie (Zheng) Charles' company Material World and asked that her items be returned. A few days later, they notified her they had signed they received the items, but they were lost.
They asked the mother for the inventory slip and immediately called her a liar. Rie Yano was outright vicious. She chose to only appraise less than half of what was sent in and offered a SHOCKING $700. She said, "You need this money so bad so take it because we won't be responding to you again."
Of course, the mother began to sob because of the emotional situation with the death of her daughter. However, after some time she got angry.
