Ascent Partners proposed a biodiversity statement in the ESBN Kuala Lumpur Business Leader's Declaration.

Ascent Partners has reaffirmed its dedication to sustainability as a member of the ESCAP Sustainable Business Network (ESBN). At the Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur on 10 April, Ascent Partners proposed integrating a biodiversity statement into the ESBN Kuala Lumpur Business Leader's Declaration, emphasizing the importance of protecting ecosystems for climate resilience and sustainable development.

"We believe biodiversity is central to addressing sustainability challenges. Through partnerships like those with ESBN and IUCN, we aim to link economic progress with environmental stewardship," said Simon Mak, CEO of Ascent Partners Group Limited and Chairman of Ascent Partners Foundation.

Dr. Dindo Campilan, Regional Director for Asia at IUCN, added: "Through our partnership with the Ascent Partners Foundation, IUCN helps catalyze the private business sector’s role in advancing the region’s biodiversity and sustainability agenda, and in directly contributing to the Global Biodiversity Framework goals and targets."

Ascent Partners continues to contribute to renewable energy, low-carbon infrastructure, green financing, innovation ecosystems, and circular economy practices, driving impactful change across the Asia-Pacific.
