Nithin Kantharaj considers himself extremely lucky that he got the opportunity to start his professional journey with a company like Zimmer Biomet. He was hired as a manufacturing engineer after he completed his MS in industrial engineering with a great score.

At Zimmer Biomet, Nithin Kantharaj worked on a number of things right from developing a wide variety of manufacturing processes for new products, establishing preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and routers in Oracle JD Edwards and Creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to developing protocols for Gage R&R studies, Capability analysis using Minitab and reporting results of studies to qualify measurement methods and manufacturing processes.

Nithin has graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is quite good at working with design and simulation tools like SIMU, AutoCAD, ANSYS, Unigraphics NX, and Catia. He is currently working for a leading medical technology company.

An alumnus of PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Nithin Kantharaj is a skilled product developer and project manager. After pursuing Bachelors in Mechanical engineering, he went on to study Industrial engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Nithin Kantharaj has an expertise in Lean Manufacturing, SPC, TQM, Time and Motion Study, Value Stream Mapping, Six sigma(DMAIC), KANBAN, ISO, PFMEA,DFMEA, KAIZEN, GD&T, Root cause analysis, Corrective and preventive action(CAPA), JIT, 5S, IQ,PQ, and QP. While he was in college, he worked on a number of academic projects. Some of the major projects he worked upon include failure mode effect analysis of Samsung note components, quality analysis on Toyota 9 million recalls, and simple & multiple linear regressions.

Nithin is quite passionate about travelling to new places.
