Professor SatyaMahapatra comes from a humble background, and that is reflected in his nature too. The turning point in his life was when someone provoked him asking-

After that, he decided to leave his comfort zone and work for the betterment of society in India. He left his Government job in a medical college to serve his countrymen with all the knowledge and experience he acquired there.
All of this began when he established Margdarsi foundation. He decided to make Bhubaneswar his place of work. And this is how the journey of building the Institute of Health Sciences started.
Right now, he is serving as chief of Margdarsi Foundation and Institute of Health Sciences. The institutions have progressed under his leadership.
He received a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, University of Mysore, India, in 1983.
He has also worked as an Audiologist in medical colleges, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and industry (Occupational Health Sciences).
He is serving as the Chief Coordinator at the Rehabilitation Council of India for the Eastern zone.
He was the chairman of the International Society for Audiological Medicine and the Model Centre for Children with Special Needs.
He worked as the principal at MSV Institute for the Deaf too.

Margdarsi Foundation
Under the leadership of Professor SatyaMahapatra and others, the Margdarsi Foundation has achieved numerous milestones. Its aim is to deliver rehabilitation services, dispense knowledge and run innovation programme of treatment solutions for the disabling conditions or disorders to prevent disability. More than 20 therapies are available for children and adults. It will come to your rescue if any of your loved ones suffer from a mental health issues or any kind of physical disability.
Under Margdarsi, four other units are functioning, including the School for Autism, Aditi Integrated School, Model Centre for Children with Special Needs, and the Institute of Health Sciences.
