Fremont, CA, Apr. 15, 2016: Stephen Alvania, who is the Owner of Air Traffic Systems Consulting, LLC., was the Director of a two-day seminar that NetZealous, a leading provider of regulatory compliance trainings for a wide range of regulated industries, successfully completed in San Diego on April 14 and 15, 2016. This seminar was on the topic, “Air Traffic Control: How it REALLY works!”

It is said that the concept of Air Traffic Control (ATC) is much simpler than its execution. This is because air traffic controllers monitor a wide range of activities that are diverse and separate, although interconnected to each other. How these tasks are performed in close coordination and interaction with each other, and how individual and multiple controllers do this formed the core of this seminar.
More details about the seminar can be had from http://www.globalcompliancepanel.com/control/globalseminars/~product_id=900470SEMINAR?air-traffic-control-San-Diego

The concept of air traffic control is pretty simple on paper. However, to accomplish what is stated on paper requires a high degree of understanding and execution of procedures, principles, and constructs that underlie the ATC process. This translates into high complexity when seen in the context of the takeoff, supervision, monitoring, and landing of hundreds of thousands of aircraft in thousands of airports every single day. The sense of disconnectedness between the architects of basic design and those who work in real life situations is a serious concern to the industry.
The Director of this seminar explained this gap and stressed the importance of bridging it. He described this lacuna, which is seen as a significant challenge to the deployment of sophisticated new ATC functionality and considered as a major roadblock in the long-term development of automated tactical ATC capabilities, and ways of closing it.
In addition to offering live and real life examples of what an air traffic controller’s job actually is like; the Director went on to explain the applicability and/or utility of current efforts and concepts intended to enhance the efficiency of the ATC system.
