PSAT is mostly a practice version of the SAT which is a standard entrance test used as one of the admission criteria for admission to universities and colleges in the US. SAT is a globally recognized admission test, Students from around the world take the PSAT to evaluate their college-preparedness and skills that they have developed at school. Almost all colleges and universities in the United States including ivy league and many colleges in other countries use the PSAT to evaluate students for admission. It is a paper-based test and includes 3 sections i.e. critical reading section, writing section and mathematics section. The PSAT also intends to help Undergraduate Schools to assess the potential of the applicants for advanced study.
