Admissions to the ace and cutting-edge [b]Ph.D. courses[/b] of MU are made based on the results obtained by a candidate in The Research Entrance Aptitude Test (TREAT) and a final personal interview, both of which are strictly conducted as per the rules & regulations of MU and the U.G.C. Regulation (Amended) 2016. The minimum eligibility conditions for participating in the research test are the Master’s degree in the opted/similar subject/stream with at least 55% marks in aggregate, and a deep and lasting interest in research and innovation. Candidates categorized under the categories of SC/ST/OBC, etc., will be granted governmentally approved relaxations. And lastly, those candidates who have qualified exams like JRF/NET/SET/SELT, and so on, or have an M.Phil. degree in their respective subjects, are permitted to appear directly for the final selection interview.
