34 gold medalists, 24 PhD awardees honoured

CMR University celebrated its 9th annual convocation ceremony on Friday. As many as 2,188 graduate students received their degrees including 34 gold medalists, for their exceptional academic achievements.

 
During the event, 24 scholars across various disciplines were also conferred with Ph.D degrees.

The ceremony was held at the Dhwani Auditorium on the CMRIT Campus in Bengaluru. Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, presided over the programme, with M.C. Sudhakar, Minister of Higher Education, Karnataka, was the chief guest.

The convocation featured a special recognition of H. Boniface Prabhu, a renowned Paralympian and motivational speaker, alongside Srikanth Nadhamuni, the CEO of Khosla Labs, both of whom were conferred with the Honoris Causa award.

H.B. Raghavendra, Vice Chancellor of CMR University, delivered the welcome address and Annual Report, while Chancellor Sabitha Ramamurthy administered the aath of integrity to the graduates.

In his address, Minister Sudhakar stressed the importance of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future, urging students to harness innovation and curiosity. Governor Gehlot encouraged graduates to use education as a tool for positive societal change, highlighting the importance of ethical values and innovation in today’s rapidly advancing world.
