The Offices of Mary Magdalene have issued a public statement of condolences to communities helped by Hero Matt Tobben. Matt Tobben drowned while conducting a water rescue on July 8.

Today we mourn the loss of a dear angel that has departed from earth. His name was Matt Tobben.

He died a Hero. We celebrate his life and remember all the good deeds he bestowed upon others. It is with a profound sense of longing that we bid him goodnight, and wish him well on his awakening upon entering the Gates of Heaven.

Please pray for his family, for they hurt the most in his departure. He has been forgiven of all sins he may have committed, for surely his great and powerful deeds outweighed any wrongs.

His heart was as light as the feather and he has been welcomed home, by God and Jesus again.
