Reno, NV. Reno is finally getting to see their own superhero film “The Hero” that was filmed in January 2022. The premiere will be on Sunday, August 21st at the National Automobile Museum at 5:30 pm (doors open at 5 pm) and 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm).

Tickets are $15 and $5 from each ticket will be donated to the Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada (DSNNN). Tickets are available at www.take2performersstudio.com

The Hero, written by Reno screenwriter Ryan Costello, is a story about Cody, a high school student with Down Syndrome and an aspiring comic book artist who escapes his school bully, Jessup, to his imaginary world of superheroes and villains, until the superhero of Cody's comic book, Crossfade, helps Cody find his own courage.

The Hero is starring local Reno actors Easton Reyes (best known for Memory Lane), Jasmeet Baduwalia (best known for Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Carp-e Diem) and a newcomer Isaias Osuna as Jessup and Garbage Man.
Damonte Ranch High School’s drama class students will be participating as extras as well as providing a location for the film.
The film was specifically written for Easton Reyes AKA The Dudeinator, a lifelong martial artist, actor, rapper, master flosser. Easton is a go-getter and has never let having Down Syndrome stop him from achieving his goals.
The film is fully funded by donations and community support as well as the Brandon Gruber Scholarship from the National Down Syndrome Society.
The Hero was produced by local film production company Mad Wife Productions, founded by Andrew Arguello, and executive producers Justine Reyes of Take 2 Performers Studio and MJ Palo.
