Sonam Kapoor and the cast of Veere Di Wedding, comprising of Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, wrapped the Delhi schedule a couple of days back. There was a report that suggested that there was a ‘cat- fight’ between Sonam and Kareena on the sets of the film.

However, Sonam later put up a statement on her Twitter and slammed the website saying that the trend of ‘blind items’ is “outdated, irresponsible, harmful and frustrating for a culture of women, who actually want to work together.” Sonam also added: “We will continue to be actual friends and make a kick a*$ movie and prove that women can work with each other, get along and have a blast”

Again, at the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival’s closing ceremony, when Sonam Kapoor was asked about why she put up the statement. She said, “That article was written by a woman and I think it’s quite detrimental when we want to make a film to show that women can work together. The misconception that people have about women. The thought process that we have that women can’t get along with each other, that they keep bitching (about each other) is absolutely false. It was a fabricated article.”

She further added that she was hurt by the kind of irresponsibility that was shown in the blind-piece that suggested a fight. She said, “I was actually hurt. I felt like I was being attacked for something I didn’t do. I usually don’t react to something like this. My publicist never asks me to retract my statement because if it is true, it is true, then whether it is about a relationship or something I have done. But it was not true, it is malicious gossip. The shocking part was it was written by a woman.”

Veere Di Wedding is an upcoming Hindi chick-flick directed by Shashanka Ghosh, and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi. The film is touted to Bollywood’s first major chick-flick that follows the story about four friends attending a wedding.Read more at:http://www.sheindressau.com/wedding-dresses-melbourne-au | http://www.sheindressau.com/beach-wedding-dresses-australia
