E-Sam Energy, a Nigeria-based clean energy startup, has joined the LaunchUp program by FasterCapital, aiming to expand its impact and accelerate the deployment of solar energy solutions across underserved regions. The company, led by CEO and Founder Enohi Ukpebor, is currently raising $4 million to support the rollout of 3,000 Solar Home Systems (SHS) for civil servants in Kaduna State under the “Solar for All” initiative.
By providing all-in-one SHS units equipped with lithium batteries, inverters, charge controllers, and remote monitoring capabilities, E-Sam Energy is solving the pressing issue of unreliable electricity supply in Nigeria—particularly in areas where households receive only 2–3 hours of power per day. Through this project, the company will not only help bridge the energy gap but also contribute to sustainable development goals by reducing CO₂ emissions and creating local employment opportunities, especially for women and youth.
Hesham Zreik, CEO of FasterCapital, commented on the collaboration:
“We are proud to welcome E-Sam Energy into our LaunchUp program. Their mission to transform energy access in Nigeria aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting impactful and scalable tech-driven ventures.”
He further added:
“The clean energy sector is one of the most critical areas for investment and innovation today. E-Sam Energy brings both a strong technical solution and a deep social mission—qualities we are excited to support.”
Speaking about the partnership, Enohi Ukpebor, CEO of E-Sam Energy, said:
“Joining FasterCapital’s LaunchUp program marks a significant milestone for us. With the right partners, we are confident in our ability to deliver clean, affordable energy to thousands of Nigerian homes and set a model for solar adoption across West Africa.”
E-Sam Energy’s vision includes reaching 15,000 beneficiaries by the end of Year 3, installing 10MW of solar PV capacity, cutting 4,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, and unlocking $2 million in household energy savings. With the support of FasterCapital and new investors, the company is poised to scale its solution and accelerate its mission of energy equity.
