People are looking up to an incredible journey with this traditional luxury train of India after it recently bagged the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) at ITB, Berlin. The train has a record occupancy in this financial year of 2018-19 as more and more international tourists show their interest to just not visit heritage sites of India but also experience its glorious past and warm hospitality.

Train was completely revamped to blend the classic Rajput grandeur with world class modern amenities. This super luxury environment and classic royal decor takes back the tourists in the golden era of Rajput monarchy.

Place on Wheels is jointly operated by Indian Railways and RTDC (Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation)and gives numerous reasons to the wanderlust to embark on a journey to Rajasthan, Agra and Delhi on this luxury train.

Few facts to know about Palace on Wheels:

The train comprises of 14 air conditioned coaches, which consist of 52 rooms allocated to single, double and triple occupancies. These coaches were used by the erstwhile Nizams, Viceroys and Maharajas.
Every coach has is decorated to match the Rajput aesthetics and are named after palaces and hunting lodges. Each has a mini pantry cum lounge where the guests can get freshly made hot and cold beverages at any hour of the day and night.
PoW has couple of dining cars, Maharaja and Maharani which are elegantly ornamented and serve continental, Chinese and Indian delicacies.
Palace on Wheels has a well stocked bar which provides the best of Indian and international brands.
Every suite has its own attendant/ khidmatgar who is available round the clock to cater to all needs.
The train also has a large library and indoor games which give the tourists can opportunity to spend some time in solitude.

Besides its 7 nights and 8 days trip, the train is planning to come up with smaller tours of 4 days.
