Irked by the slow response, Chandigarh Renewal Energy, Science and Technology Promotion Society (CREST) have made a complaint to the Estates office. CREST has demanded a strict action against the defaulters.

As the deadline for installing rooftop solar system comes too close, UT Administration has already started the process of issuing fresh notices to those independent households and group housing societies who have failed to abide by the notification.

Gauging the poor response of people, CREST has announced a subsidy lead program and a cash reward for the rural welfare associations (RWA) who will take a lead in making this plan of the Government successful.
