Lokesh Jangid - a smart & reputed IAS officer from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is now an inspiration for thousands of aspirants. Since his childhood, he has been interested in serving the public. He completed his 10th from Model English School, Parbhani & his 11th and 12th at Bal Vidya Mandir Junior College in Parbhani. IAS Lokesh has been brilliant at his studies & extra-curricular activities since his childhood. He used to participate in many state-level & national level competitions, representing his state. While pursuing his B.Tech in Computer Science, he used to participate in many social service activities.

Since childhood, IAS Lokesh Jangid has been keen to read newspapers & magazines to stay updated about current affairs. During his campus placement, he was selected for TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). However, he chose not to join there & study for UPSC. He is a person of high self-esteem & passionate mind. And with his strategic planning and dedication, he secured 68th rank in UPSC in India in 2014. Presently, he is working in Badwani district of Madhya Pradesh at the post of Additional Collector.

In 2016, he got his first posting as SDM in Madhya Pradesh at Vijaypur in Sheopur district. In addition, to enhance primary school students' learning outcomes, a large-scale initiative called 'Padho Vijaypur' was launched in partnership with the Pratham organization. This initiative directly benefited thousands of students, as they began to engage with reading materials, while teachers also became more actively involved in teaching. Since his posting, many videos of his social work have gone viral on social media, demonstrating his dedication towards the betterment of the people & society.

During his tenure as the CEO of Zila Parishad in Harda, Lokesh undertook impressive initiatives in water conservation through MNREGA. He oversaw the construction and repair of ponds throughout the district, significantly contributing to water conservation efforts. Additionally, large-scale roof water harvesting was implemented in all government buildings, leading to a notable increase in groundwater levels. Lokesh's outstanding performance in the Swachh Bharat Mission in Harda earned him recognition from the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, where he was awarded for his contributions. While working as an Additional Collector in Badwani district, he dealt with the coronavirus crisis with patience, set up oxygen plants, converted private hospitals into COVID centers, and provided free treatment to the patients under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
