The platform’s new Mobile Biometric Authentication feature is dedicated to mobile apps and allows consumers to use their mobile devices’ Face ID and Touch ID for authentication.

Without having to put in more effort, customers may use their current biometrics for authentication. In practice, it also ensures that biometric data from users stays stored on their phone rather than on the cloud, making this feature even safer.

Touch ID: This authenticates the use of fingerprints by customers. Without going through the entire setup process, customers can still use fingerprints that are the same as previously set for their Android or iOS mobile devices.
Face ID: This feature authenticates the use of its face by customers. Similar to Touch ID, the Face ID stays the same as the consumer's mobile device is already set. They do not need to go all over again through the setup process.

Businesses can configure both authentication options for their applications and let consumers choose their preference or the available option with their device while setting up the app.
