9th August 2012 - Black Kinky Hair Care style is a legend in itself. Basically this was the natural style of the Africans, so we can say that this was originated in Africa. Their hairs are purely natural and have not been modified. No artificial stuffs have been used to make out the style. No hot combs or hair straightness are used. Not even any type of chemicals is applied on them to overdo the hair style.
The texture of the hair is in the shape of helix. It is a spring like small tiny little thing all summoned together. Other hairdo stuffs like perming, relaxing, and smoothing are also not done. Each separate hair is entangled in small circles. The overall view of the hairdo looks denser than that of a straightened hair. This type of hair gives a dry and rough look. It is all more like getting stuffed together in a very little space allowing them to enroll around.
These type of hairs are very thin in nature and very delicate, due to which they are very prone to regular loss.
The kinky word is given as a nick name to this style. They are also sometimes called nappy or spiraled. It is just a way to call them. The straightened hair is called type 1, the wavy ones are called the type 2, curly ones are the type 3, and types 4 are the afro ones.
The hair style 4c is considered to be the most loved hair style in this genre. These afro style hair styles are very difficult to categorize because of the number of different patterns in it. There are much different type of patterns or textures, like coiled ones, springs, zigzag ones, there is one another type which is known as s curves. Afro- style hair is called as or referred as ‘kinky’ hair and also as ‘coarse’. The un textured hairs are also known as nappy hair.
The density of these types of hairs is very high. The density of kinky hair is around 190 hairs per square centimeter.
But anyhow this is lower than that of Caucasian.
