Lithium Extraction Works completes underground mine design for Salar de Atacama project

SANTIAGO/REGION METROPOLITANA - Lithium Extraction Works is pleased to announce plans of an underground mine design study of a northern section located in the Salar de Atacama salt plains.

 
Lithium Extraction Works objective of the study was to recommend the most advantageous mining process, and the capital and operating costs for the underground mine whilst also taking into consideration the resource geometry and geotechnical aspects.

Lithium Extraction Works’ Chief Geological Officer, Mr. Bruce McArthur commented on the underground report saying “Additional aspects of the study include the preparation of a conceptual mine plan and the estimation of the mine production rate and production schedule. The full Salar de Atacama report will be released within the next 14 days.”

“As our analysts’ assessment draws to its conclusion, our underground mining study is an important component of logistical analysis. Our report confirms the mining potential in the Salar de Atacama plains, and offers insight into the various business models we can work with,” added Bruce McArthur, Chief Geological Officer of Lithium Extraction Works.
