If you want to start selling alcohol or plan to open a business that will partake in the libations in the state of Florida then you will need a Florida 4Cop Liquor License or something similar. This particular license, 4cop, is regulated and issued by the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Bureau of Licensing. If you have a restaurant, bar or cafe, it is recommended that you look into which 1Cop, 2Cop, or 4Cop liquor license is the best for your particular establishment. The 4Cop quota is for beer, wine and liquor sales by the drink consumption of the premises and package sales in sealed containers. This license is used most often by bars and clubs that do not meet the requirement for a 4Cop-SRX/SFS license (this lets you sell beer, wine and liquor in connection with a restaurant and for consumption on premises only).

Florida 4Cop Liquor License Cost - the fee for this license in Florida depends on the size of the county and how much your are purchasing - whether is be for a full year of half-year license. In Broward County, the yearly fee for the license is $1,820.

How to buy a 4cop Liquor License - this is relatively simple. You must apply for a license from the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Bureau of Licensing. In Florida you are required one of the two main licenses. The first is the quota license, for full-service alcohol establishments. A quota liquor license is only offered once a year on a lottery, and more licenses become available annually with the population increases. They are regulated by population of county. The second liquor licenses Florida offers is an SRX. Which is a special restaurant license that can be applied for year-round if 51 percent or more of the sales is food at your establishment. There are 50+ subcategories of licenses based on the type of business you own. Your liquor license application with require certain documents, so be careful to include everything needed when you initially send off the application.

A couple of tips: the documents can be a very technical, but the Bureau will assist you if you have questions by calling 850-587-1395. Temporary licenses are also an option while you are awaiting approval.
