Human blood comprises three types of blood cells, namely, white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. White blood cells help fight against all types of body infections, red blood cells play a vital role in transporting oxygen to body parts and platelets majorly work to prevent bleeding by helping form blood clots. However, when a malignant cell attacks the bone marrow or the house of blood cells, it leads to a blood disease known as Blood Cancer or Leukemia.
Leukemia or blood cancer is a malignant disease that directly hampers the functioning of the white blood cells or leucocytes through its abnormal production. This, in turn, leads to lower immunity that suppresses the body's capacity to fight infections. It further leads to improper functioning of red blood cells and platelets as well, eventually leading to fatal symptoms.

Finding the Types of Blood Cancer
Primarily, there are four main types of leukemia, stated as:
• Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL): This is known to be one of the most common types of leukemia where blood-forming cells in their immature state grow, reproduce and accumulate quickly.
• Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML): This type is also known as acute myelogenous leukemia where myeloid cells from the bone marrow in their abnormal state multiply and accumulate rapidly.
• Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL): This is believed to be a slow-growing leukemia type where abnormal lymphocytes from the bone marrow grow and multiply very slowly.
• Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML): This type is also known as chronic myelogenous leukemia where abnormal blood-forming cells start to multiply outside the bone marrow tissues. Furthermore, this type is also known to have proven records of abnormal chromosomes.
Further to these primary types, there are other less common types of leukemia known as hairy cell leukemia, large granular lymphocytic leukemia, acute promyelocytic leukemia, juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia, and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. Ayurveda Cancer Hospital at Nagpur has a comprehensive course of a treatment plan for all the types of blood cancer.
Finding the Causes of Leukemia

However, there is a combination of several genetic, medical and environmental factors that can individually or together lead to leukemia.
