A rising new platform for inspiring female entrepreneurs to source funding

Posted July 5, 2022 by liftwomengroup

In just 12 months, Lift Women has connected thousands of female founders and backers, spanning multiple industries across Australia, to realise their business dreams with the much-needed initial capital - and this is just the beginning.

Melbourne, Aus: A year after launching Australia’s first female-focussed reward-based crowdfunding platform, Lift Women is undeniably making funding more possible and accessible for girls and women, and changing the narrative for female entrepreneurs.

Their newest initiative, Lift Angels™, aims to amplify the impact by pioneering a revolutionary community model that creates a circular and sustainable funding ecosystem for women-led businesses and startups.

It is more than just an annual membership to a shared-value community of like-minded people; it generates a ripple effect by leveraging the power of the crowd as 50% of the annual fee goes directly into an innovative Pay-It-Forward Fund.

The Pay-It-Forward Fund is equity-free, debt-free money that is awarded to live projects as further funding. Lift Women are striving to raise $100,000 for the Fund in 2022 to support at least 20-30 female founders with extra money to reach their crowdfunding goal.

This comes off the back of many accomplishments over only 12 months including:

* The launch of the 2021 Female Founder Grant Challenge, in partnership with national and global partners like LegalVision and Viable Partner, which received over 100 applications with over 2 million social impressions. Two female entrepreneurs were granted a Jumpstarter Kit, valued at $15,000 each including a $5,000 cash grant.
* A ground-breaking partnership with Global Sisters - Australia’s leading NGO on a mission to make business possible for all women - on International Women’s Day 2022. This joint crowdfunding campaign supported 12 Australian female-led businesses and social enterprises.
* The Launch of TickHER - an original show in partnership with Ticker News that showcases inspiring and successful female entrepreneurs. The show accumulated almost 500K views in the first 8 episodes.
* Assembling global executive leaders of impact to accelerate growth and geographic expansion including Peter Crewe, Managing Director of Ziffa Group Limited, Gordon Watson, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Asia & Africa and Alan Fung, Managing Director at Viable Partners, ex KPMG Partner.
