What are beef short ribs?
Short ribs are a piece of beef taken from the brisket, chuck, plate, or rib areas of beef cattle. They consist of a short portion of the rib bone, which is overlain by meat and it that usually varies in thickness.
What is braising?
Braising is a combination cooking method in which we first fry the food lightly and then cook it slowly in a closed container for about 2 to 3 hours.
How to make braised beef short ribs?
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Season short ribs with salt and pepper.
Heat an oven-safe pot over high heat. Then add some olive oil and allow to heat briefly. Sear short ribs in olive oil for about a minute each side. Remove from pot and set aside.
Sauté onions and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Let it simmer. Add meat and a rosemary sprig on top for flavor.
Transfer to the preheated oven for approximately 2.5 hours until the meat gets tender.

You can cook it in a regular pot on the stove for approximately 2.5 hours if you don’t have an oven-safe pot,
