[Golden, February 11, 2017] — The Center for Legal Studies, an online legal education company, offers financial aid to paralegal students. It is a worldwide common law training center providing students with access to over 100 colleges and universities across the U.S. The training center provides a variety of funding options for credit courses, with a few options for non-credit courses.

Funding for Credit Courses

Some college credit courses fall under Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA). Degree seeking students studying through Adams State University may be eligible for either a Pell Grant or a Stafford loan.

Students applying for FAFSA must be U.S. citizens and meet a basic set of financial requirements. Pell Grants, for example, only give grants to students whose families have an income of less than $50,000 a year.

Pell Grants are only available for undergraduate education, while Stafford loans also cover further education. Students who wish to apply for either loan must fill out a FAFSA form and must contact the school directly.

Students studying under The Center for Legal Studies must contact Adams State University to begin the application process. Degree seeking students who already receive financial aid may also ask for additional funds to pay for non-credit courses and books.

The Center for Legal Studies also offers financial aid for non-credit courses. There are three options available, namely, Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding, the Sallie Mae Career Training Loan, and Military Funding.

WIA Funding — WIA’s purpose is to provide job training funds. The requirements vary from one county to the next. Applicants must call their local Workforce Center to learn more about this option.

Sallie Mae Career Training Loan — Sallie Mae funding is suitable for financing further education programs. Only select partner schools accept Sallie Mae financing.

Military Funding — Students eligible under the Post- 9/11 GI Bill or MyCAA education funding may apply to finance their distance learning courses at The Center for Legal Studies. Students must call the center to be matched with a partner school.

The Center for Legal Studies has many options available to students looking for financial aid.
