Do not always overcharge your laptop and plugged in all night

This varies depending on your usage, of course, but the average laptop battery is good for around 400 recharges (a.k.a. cycles). After that, it starts to lose its capacity to hold a charge. That's why the battery that once gave you, say, 3-4 hours' worth of runtime now peters out after just 1-2 hours.

A lithium-based battery can not be overcharged even if you leave it plugged in at all times because as soon as it is fully charged (100%), the internal circuit prevents further charging until there is a drop in the voltage. While overcharging isn't a possibility, keeping your laptop battery discharged is an issue.

If you're halfway through doing your office work or any other important document that you haven't saved, put it in sleep mode. But keeping a laptop in sleep mode for a long period, say 1 week, can be bad for the laptop and it damages the battery life. Instead, put your laptop in hibernation mode.

It takes longer to resume from hibernate than sleep, but hibernate uses much less power than sleep. A computer that's hibernating uses about the same amount of power as a computer that's shut down. Hybrid: Hybrid mode is really intended for desktop PCs and should be disabled by default for most laptops.

Dim the screen. By far the biggest power drain on most laptops is the screen. Change the power settings,
Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth,Don't leave your laptop on permanent charge. Disconnect remove unnecessary peripherals.
