Usually covered in three sides and front should be made of laminated safety glass or toughened glass for protect user from inhaling toxic gasses or fumes. The sash can be moved up/down with a counterweight mechanism for an effortless operation.

The fumes generated from chemical reaction will be extracted by means of centrifugal blower connected to the fume hood by PP/FRP duct. Normally this blower will be mounted outside of the lab and air will be thrown to the atmosphere with a discharge speed so that it will not return to the room.

Labguard hood are complies all global standard like ASHRAE and as per that front sash should be kept open at 450mm height and face velocity in the facia should be maintained at 0.4 to 0.6 m/sec.

Labguard fume hoods are made of Low constant volume principle, it takes very less air from the room when sash is closed. By this the total energy loss in the lab will be minimum.

The fume hood inside surface was laminated by different material as per the reaction so that it will not corrode, and light used inside the hood are vapour proof construction.
