The love affair of Sahil Mahajan with Japan bloomed in his twenties, when he journeyed to Japan for the first time. During this trip, he discovered his love for Japanese tea and became a fan of different kinds of green teas from Japan.

As for Ms. Miho Hashidate, she was born and raised in a suburb of Tokyo called Chiba. She grew up in the bed of the rich culture and traditions of the city. She gained a love of green tea as an inheritance from her family, learning the art of tea-making from her grandmother.
Together, the couple made a decision to combine their passion for and expertise in tea-making and launch the company Kyoto Beverages.
