SEOCHO-GU/SEOUL - KoreaGraph today announced that is has completed initial testing of its chemical based super-capacitor materials in its battery test laboratory.

KoreaGraph’s expert scientists conducted tests and initial results show that the materials perform well in super-capacitor cells with further research to be done to improve the battery cell performance.

KoreaGraph’s Chief Technology Officer commented on the super-capacitor materials saying “We have designed and produced chemical batteries based on Li-ion technology which store large amounts of energy which can be used over many hours. A chemical reaction occurs and the energy is then released which occurs between the anode and cathode and after many cycles, the chemistry needs to be replenished and the battery needs to be changed.”

KoreaGraph’s Chief Technology Officer also added “Our super-capacitors are based on an electrical double layer which offers rapid charging and contains a high-power density. These super-capacitors use activated carbon as a high surface-area charge storage and they do not depend on a chemical reaction as they work on charge separation which means that our super-capacitors are stable and can typically withstand many charge and discharge cycles.”
