Diana, along with her husband, Mr Clifford Tan, owns and runs a Mughlai cuisine restaurant since 1988.

April 16, 2015: Madam Diana Yap was recently honored with the ‘Enterprising Woman Entrepreneur Award’ in November 2014. She has received this honor for her contributions to the Indian Community in Singapore. The award was jointly presented by Tampines East CC IAEC and Gopio Singapore and presented by Mrs. Thangam Grace, PBM and Dr. VP Nair, of GOPIO Singapore.

When contacted, Mrs. Thangam Grace stated, “Delhi Restaurant has won many awards and commendations from various magazines and organizations. It lives up to the traditional and rich heritage of one of the oldest cities in the world, Delhi, which is famous for its social gatherings and array of exquisite, piquant dishes – a true gastronomic delight.”

Speaking to the media, Diana said, “I am happy to receive this honor from GOPIO Singapore. Since 1988, I have run the Mughlai cuisine restaurant in Singapore serving the best and most delicious dishes from India to Indian food lovers in the city.” She further added, “In Delhi, people say, if you love someone, you feed them and I’m a great believer in this.”

GOPIO Singapore is a global organization originally started by Indian nationals for Indian people based in foreign countries. Diana’s Delhi Restaurant in Singapore is known as the Indian gourmet paradise of Little India. The restaurant invites its patrons to enjoy their cuisine in the manner of the irresistibly endearing people of Delhi, who seal lifetime friendships by offering food to each other.

The Delhi Restaurant serves Kashmiri and Mughlai dishes in the original fine dining tradition of Delhi. Here the signature dish is the mixed grill sizzler, introduced during its inception and when no other restaurant in Little India had it on their menu.
