African inspired printed trousers which incorporate the colors and patterns of Africa in different styles of women pants are becoming more and more popular with the newer generation.

Africa, the Dark Continent has fascinated many historians, archeologists, travelers, diamond dealers and common people. The traditions and the rituals followed there are sometimes fables and sometimes true. In one thing though Africa has attracted the attention of the common man, and that is their unique dress materials, prints, motifs, colors, dyes, designs and embroideries. Till a long time African people did not wear stitched clothing and it was mostly draped around their upper and lower torso. But as with the changing world they also started to stitch their clothes like the rest of the world and thus some garments which are still traditionally worn in Africa come in stitched version.

Pants or trouser is mainly a western concept that has gone through many evolutions and changes over the decades. It was not until the mid 30s that pans became acceptable for women in the society. Till then the skirts and the dresses rules the fashion scene. But with progressing time, women also started wearing trousers and there are many forms and styles available now in the market which keeps on changing their length, cut and design. African women pants are nothing but African inspired printed trousers. There are a variety of cuts and styles available and the designers are forever improvising on tem. What has inspired African pants is the vivacity of the colors of Africa, the prints, their dyeing methods, the materials and embroideries that they use. These have inspired the western designers to embrace the elements that are truly African in spirit and incorporate them in their women’s pants collection.
