Concept, the leading company in New England when it comes to commercial projectors says some common sense knowledge.

Dracut Massachusetts, January 26, 2015 — Concept (www.conceptnecommercial.com), the leading company in New England when it comes to commercial projectors says some common sense knowledge and choosing the right projector for the right use are key to getting the best use from commercial projectors.

“Sometimes it makes more sense to choose a plasma or LCD screen over a projector,” said Neal Boissonneault, President of Concept. “If you’ll be using it to watch TV, or to run continuous video, a DLP or LCD projector can get expensive,” he said.

A big factor is the cost of the projector bulb, which typically burns out every 2,000 to 4,000 hours. Given that the bulbs cost from $200 to $800, a TV can be much more affordable because they last upwards of 60,000 hours or more.

Pixel density is another important factor: If you are planning on showing mostly HDTV or Blue Ray, it’s important to get the highest native pixel count you can—at least 1920x 1080. However, if you’re showing PowerPoint or, you can use lower pixel density.
