In your first session, Dr Khan will check your teeth over, looking at the issues. It’s here that an extremely thin layer of enamel will be removed, usually less than half a millimetre. This is to accommodate the thin porcelain veneer which will be put on at a later date. Once the thin layer has been removed from all teeth involved, a mould will be taken. This mould will be used to create your custom, made to measure veneers. Manufactured to the exact shape and size for you, and to correct the areas you don’t like. Once this mould is taken you may be given temporary veneers, dependant on the severity of damage your teeth may have displayed when you first came in, though it isn’t always needed.

It can take one to two weeks to create your made to measure veneers, but when they’re ready, you’ll be invited in for your second and last session. It’s on this session that the veneers will be inspected against your teeth to make sure they’re perfect, once Dr Khan is happy with them, they’ll then be bonded or “cemented” onto your teeth using composite resin cement which is then placed under a special light.
