Louisiana, March 19, 2014: One of the most disastrous events in American history can be said to be the Great Fire of 1910. The Great Fire of 1910 took place within the Washington, Idaho, Louisiana, and Montana. One of the hardest hit of the said catastrophe was a little town known as Lake Charles.

The city of Lake Charles went as far back in history as the 18th century. It’s very first European settlers were a French couple named Martin LeBleu and Dela Marion, which led to the area being known then as the LeBleu Settlement. When the Great Fire of 1910 hit the area, however, the site was already known as Lake Charles. It was after what could be considered as a tragic event that the small town of Lake Charles grew to become what it is now.

One of the salient points of this small town is the fact that it is actually filled within and around with a number of tourist spots that one should not miss out on. Some of these sites include the L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, and the Central School Arts and Humanities Center. Of course, it is also a must for tourists to experience such events as the Contraband Days.

Now, in order to enjoy all of these, one of the best things to do would be to spend more than a few days here. That can be made possible by making sure you book yourself in any of the hotels in Lake Charles LA. One such hotel near Lake Charles beach that you might want to consider is the Sunrise Inn.

Some of the amenities being offered by Sunrise Inn to their patrons include unlimited access to wireless Internet in all areas, free public parking, and access to the vending machine as well as the laundry services. All rooms are equipped with heating and air conditioning units.
