Fair Isle sweater patterns come from a traditional knitting technique first used in the Shetland Islands, where patterns are created using various colors. They became v posh when the Prince of Wales (and future king of England) wore them in the early 1920s. Conveniently for us, the colors and styles have been modernized to look absolutely amazing when dressed up for a holiday event.
