2016 will mark the graduation of financial professional Kelechi Okereke from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his studies at the prestigious school in 2014, and will leave this year having successfully earned his Master of Business Administration degree. His prior education includes four years at the University of Pennsylvania in the early 2000s, where he attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of Biological Basis of Behavior, a division of the Neuroscience field.

The son of two native Nigerians who immigrated to the United States, Kelechi Okereke and his siblings were born and raised in the United States. They spent time in Washington DC, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania during his childhood. He credits his parent's hard work and determination that their children strive for a quality education with his success. His mother is a Pharmacist who also owns her own health and wellness business. His father, who passed away a few years ago, was a noted Orthopedic Surgeon for the University of Pennsylvania.

After graduating with his Bachelor's degree, Mr. Okereke found a career home with Citi as a Financial Analyst. He spent two years in this capacity for the global financial giant working from their New York City hub. In 2010, he transitioned from financial analysis to the Mergers and Acquisitions department for Citi, where he remained an additional year. In 2011, he was made a full-fledged Associate for the Mergers and Acquisitions team and spent the following three years working in the New York and London offices of the company.

After deciding to attend the Wharton School of Business, Mr. Okereke was privileged to take part in an internship with the Abraaj Group, a global private equity firm based out of Dubai. This experience solidified the fact that he wanted to further explore the realm of private equity as well as emerging market investment in his future career endeavors.

Kelechi Okereke is an active young professional with many interests including that of finance and investment, personal fitness, and international travel. At home, he enjoys reading, cooking, and music.
